Stepping into the BenCham Annual Gala last Saturday was more than attending an event – it was a moment of genuine encouragement. The recognition from both the Benelux Chamber of Commerce East China | Shanghai and the Consulate General of Belgium in Shanghai reaffirmed that what we are building truly matters — not just for us, but for Belgian creative talent seeking a stronger voice in China.
Belgian fashion and home-textile design remain strikingly underrepresented in this market. There is so much beauty, craftsmanship, and emotional depth in the work of Belgium designers — yet there’s still room to deepen the connection with China. That’s the gap we are here to close.
Shanghai’s creative energy is unlike anywhere else. It rewards authenticity, fresh ideas, and brands with a story worth telling. Being here has only strengthened our conviction: MMUUZZ exists to bring Belgian creativity to a market that values authenticity — and has room for brands built on depth, craftsmanship, and intention.
So here we are — listening, learning, connecting, and laying the foundation for long-term, meaningful exchange between Belgium and China.
